T-shirts, leggings or track suits are most suited to Yoga as they are non-restrictive and comfortable. Yoga is practiced in bare feet although you are able to purchase Yoga socks if you prefer. I generally advise to wearing thin layers that you remove as required. Jeans and jewellery are not recommended.
Yoga does not require a huge investment of personal equipment although there are a few essentials. Most importantly, you will require a Yoga mat. If you are joining my class for the first time, I do have a few spare and can loan you one but please ask me prior within the online booking message. Yoga mats can be purchased from under £20 but please do not purchase a camping mat as they are slippery and not fit for purpose.
As you progress with Yoga, many students benefit from Yoga bricks. These allow for Yoga poses to become more stable as you practice and can be purchased for under £5.
Finally, please bring with you a bottle of water, blanket and cushon. At the end of my Yoga classes we rest in the relaxation pose called Savasana. The blanket aides the relaxation and eases the muscles and integrates the work you've done in class, before you continue with the rest of your day or evening.
If you have never experienced Yoga before or are worried about your fitness level, I would recommend joining the Beginners Yoga Class. This is aimed at students from all ages and fitness levels with the objective to have fun and progress at your own rate.
As you progress, you may wish to join my Vinyasa Yoga Class aimed at students that have some prior experience.
All of my Yoga Classes are geared around the individual and can be followed at the level that is comfortable for you.
If you have any prior medical conditions, please let me know prior to the Yoga Class and I will confirm your suitability and ensure that you are able to follow the poses safely.
All of the classes and prices are available within the 'Book Online'section of my website.
